How quickly can I get cleared?

We prioritize surgical clearances and aim for same-day or next-day turnaround in most cases. If your surgery is urgent, please indicate that in your request and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring a valid photo ID, a list of your current medications, any paperwork or pre-op orders from your surgical team, and your insurance card if you have one (though we are cash-pay for this service).

Do you communicate directly with my surgeon?

Yes — we can send your clearance letter and documentation directly to your surgical team. Please include your surgeon's fax number or contact information in your request.

What labs are included in the basic panel?

Basic labs typically include a complete blood count (CBC), basic metabolic panel (BMP), and any other standard pre-operative labs. Your physician will determine the appropriate panel based on your procedure and medical history.

Do I need to fast before my appointment?

For most standard clearances, fasting is not required. If your labs require fasting, our team will let you know when scheduling your appointment.

Do you accept insurance?

We are a cash-pay practice for surgical clearance services. The flat fee is $175 for H&P with basic labs, or $275 for H&P with extensive labs and EKG included. Many patients find this is comparable to or less than their insurance out-of-pocket costs.

Question 8

Can I get my EKG at the same appointment?

Accepted Answer

Yes — and many patients do. If your surgical team requires an EKG, we can perform it at the same visit for an additional $100. Please check the EKG box in the intake form.
